Profile of Dong Shuning

Dong Shuning, a doctorate degree holder, researcher, doctoral mentor, and well-known mine hydrogeologist. He leads the Water Hazard Prevention Professional Committee of the China Mine Safety Society as the Director and serves as the Vice Chairman of the China National Committee of the International Mine Water Association (IMWA). He serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Coal Geology & Exploration and the Associate Editor of Mine Water and the Environment. He is also a valued member of the editorial board of the Journal of China Coal Society. With a record of over 110 published academic papers, 22 granted invention patents, and five books authored. Shuning has been honored with prestigious awards such as the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation Science and Technology Award, the Sun Yueqi Energy Award, and the Outstanding Engineer Award of the International Scientific Exchange Foundation
